The Amana NED7200TW is a standard electric dryer that reviewers say offers a good combination of features, value and performance. This affordable dryer has a large 7.1-cubic-foot capacity, a reversible door, six drying cycles and a moisture sensor, which turns the appliance off automatically when clothes are dry to save energy. The Amana NED7200TW is covered by a one-year warranty, and it can be stacked with the matching washer, the Amana NFW7200TW (*Est. $600). The dryer gets high marks from professionals and users alike, with reviewers praising its large capacity, fast drying times and quiet operation. The wrinkle-reduction cycle is another plus, as it keeps laundry smooth and wrinkle-free, according to reviews. However, the dryer only has three temperature settings (some dryers have five), and a number of owners say buttons on the electronic control panel are easy to press accidentally. We also saw some reports that the moisture sensor can stop working properly if the metal bars are not cleaned regularly. The gas version is the Amana NGD7200TW (Discontinued).

The best review of the Amana NED7200TW comes from ConsumerReports.org, which includes the dryer in its latest test of nearly 40 dryers. The dryer receives an overall score, in addition to ratings for noise and drying performance. ConsumerGuide.com also reviews the Amana dryer, but its analysis doesn't appear to be based on personal testing. We also found user reviews at HomeDepot.com, and J.D. Power and Associates provides a snapshot of overall brand reliability.
