The Amana NGD7200TW gas dryer is more expensive than the electric version, the Amana NED7200TW (Discontinued), but experts say gas dryers are cheaper to operate in the long run. In addition to two recommendations from professional reviewers, the Amana NGD7200TW also gets high marks from owners. The large 7.1-cubic-foot capacity is excellent for drying large items such as comforters, and users also report good drying performance and quiet operation. However, a number of owners complain about the buttons on its electronic control panel, which are located on the front of the machine. According to these critics, the buttons are too sensitive and easy to push accidentally when loading or unloading laundry. In terms of features, the Amana NGD7200TW includes a moisture sensor (a must-have feature that saves energy), three temperature settings and a reversible door.
