Where to Buy

The GE Profile DPSE810GGWT gas dryer is a good value that delivers both features and performance. All of the most important extras are included, including a moisture sensor to save energy and protect clothes from over-drying. You'll also find a drying rack and a stainless-steel drum. Although some dryers are bigger still, the 7-cubic-foot capacity can handle the load for even large families and can dry bulky comforters and other large items as well. The dryer does fall short in the style department, however, and several users have complaints about its flimsy lint filter. According to these reviewers, it doesn't trap lint very well. If you don't have a gas hookup, the GE Profile DPSE810EGWT Electric Dryer (Discontinued) is also available. While most people will have lower energy costs with the DPSE810GGWT gas dryer, the electric version is less expensive initially.

ConsumerReports.org provides the best feedback on the GE Profile DPSE810GGWT. The dryer is rated on drying performance, noise and capacity, although only the electric version is tested. User reviews are harder to come by, since gas dryers in general get less feedback than electric clothes dryers. We did find a couple of user reviews at AJMadison.com. J.D. Power and Associates provides an overall snapshot of brand reliability.
