LG DLE2516W Electric Dryer

Pros
  • Reliable
  • Quiet
  • Fast drying cycles
  • Large capacity
  • Stackable
Cons
  • Fewer features than some others
  • May leave clothes damp
  • Slim availability

LG dryers are well regarded for their reliability and performance, and that includes the mid-priced LG DLE2516W Electric Dryer. At 7.0 cubic feet, this dryer is large enough to handle the needs of even a large family. It doesn't have steam, but it can be stacked with a matching washer to save space if needed. Most importantly, reports say that this dryer is fast, quiet and reliable. If you have a gas hookup, a gas version, the LG DLG2526W Gas Dryer (Discontinued), is a little more expensive to start with, but less expensive to operate over time for most. While the LG DLE2516W dryer is still listed on LG's website, its availability is slim. Many stores that previously stocked the washer no longer carry it. For those on a smaller budget, the GE Profile DPSE810EGWT Electric Dryer (Discontinued) scores highly in tests, but users are a little more reserved. The generous feature lineup offsets the stodgier styling and the more old-fashioned dial controls.

The LG DLE2516W Electric Dryer is included in ConsumerReports.org's latest test, and there are a good number of user reports available. In terms of sheer numbers, BestBuy.com leads the pack, and we like that the site is easy to use and asks posters to answer the most important question of all: Would you recommend the LG DLE2516W to a friend? A smaller amount of feedback is available at Epinions.com. As a brand, LG dryers get the second-highest user satisfaction scores in the latest J.D. Power and Associates survey.
