Braun KSM2

pros
  • The Braun KSM2 is said in reviews to be a good entry-level coffee grinder that's easy to clean.
cons
  • Compared to some other inexpensive coffee grinders, some reviews say the Braun KSM2 produces a fair amount of dust, and that fine grounds may become compacted beneath the blades. Some users report that the lid feels somewhat flimsy.

Good for grinding up vitamins and seeds and nuts for smoothies too!, October 6, 2009
I was advised by my doctor to make healthy smoothies and I have started to grind up my hard vitamins and seeds and nuts with this coffee grinder to add to the smoothies. It makes fast work of them and does not heat them. It's been in our cabinet a long time and still goes strong. It's even been glued and still goes strong.
The Best, September 10, 2009
Was so happy to find the Braun Coffee Grinder again. Owned one before that lasted 20 years. Wasn't able to find another in the stores around here and went with another brand. Was totally disappointed with other. Then found and ordered and used again. Very happy that the product has NOT been changed and is as good as ever! Will always use this model and brand. Thanks Braun....
Wow, Bearings went after about 15 years !!!, July 4, 2009
My Braun bean grinder is making funny noises after about 15 years of grinding my beans about 4 times a week. I was relieved that I could still purchase the same model today. I just placed my order. The machine makes a little noise when chopping, but gives great results. Also works well for nuts and herbs. Glad to see one manufacturer sticking with a winner.
Great Grinder, June 10, 2009
This is a Great coffee grinder, inexpensive and durable... My sister and I had one for 10 years and it finally broke. When we called the company they said they didn't make them anymore but that some stores might still have stock. I went on Amazon.com and found the exact same brand and make at Goodman's!! Thank you Amazon.com, Thank you Goodman's for having the product we needed!
Braun Coffee GRinder Review., April 7, 2009
I received the coffee grinder in about a week. It works even better than the same model that I replaced. I am totally satisfied.

Cook's Illustrated tests ten under-$50 coffee grinders by grinding 2 ounces of coffee beans in each and brewing 40-ounce pots of coffee using automatic drip coffee makers. Editors recommend five grinders, including the Braun KSM2, which they say grinds on the fine side while leaving a few chunks of unground beans.
