We read the best reviews of the Krups GX4100 at Amazon.com. We also read reviews at Cook's Illustrated, where a similar Krups grinder is pitted against nine other grinders and CoffeeGeek.com, a coffee enthusiasts' website where reviews tend to be long and detailed. Epinions didn't have enough reviews (just one) to help us round out the overall summary.
Overall, owners have good things to say about the Krups GX4100 Coffee, Herb & Spice Mill, which has not been professionally reviewed. This blade-style coffee grinder is slightly more expensive than its sibling, the Krups Fast Touch 203 (*est. $20), but it's sheathed in stainless steel and thus has a sleeker look. Reviews say this blade grinder is an excellent performer and can be pressed into service as a spice grinder. Performance-wise, it's comparable to the Fast Touch and owners say it's a cinch to clean. Note that inexpensive blade grinders work better for automatic drip coffee makers, where getting a fine grind is not important.
