Bunn NHBX

Bunn is known for commercial coffee makers, but home models such as the Bunn NHBX-B (in black) and the NHBX-W (in white) get good reviews. The NHBX can produce 10 cups in about 3 minutes. It is similar to the Bunn BTX (*Est. $90) except the former has a glass pot and the latter a thermal carafe. The Bunn coffee makers' speed is due to a hot-water reservoir that keeps water ready whenever it's turned on. Without pre-heating water, a 10-cup pot will take 15 minutes to brew. There's also a special spray function meant to reduce bitterness, but some owners think that this feature, coupled with the fast brew time, results in weak coffee. There's also no automatic shutoff. The Bunn NHBX might make the most sense for a small office that brews several pots of coffee per day. If you only brew one pot, the Cuisinart Brew Central DCC-1200 (*Est. $80) is a standard coffee maker that gets good reviews.
