Owners praise the basic Mr. Coffee Switch DW12 for its large capacity and intuitive design. This coffee maker doesn't offer advanced features, but it does come with a budget price. Consumers who easily remember to turn the coffee pot on each morning say they love the Mr. Coffee Switch, but those who like to plan everything the night before say they prefer programmable models, like the Cuisinart Brew Central DCC-1200 (*Est. $80) .
The Switch coffee maker (which comes in white as the DW12 or in black as the DW13) is a basic coffee maker with a glass carafe and warming plate to maintain the temperature of coffee after it's brewed. It does offer see-through windows so you can clearly see how much water is in the reservoir, and some owners prefer glass carafes so they can easily see how much coffee remains. A smaller, 4-cup capacity model is available: Mr. Coffee  Switch TF-4 (*Est. $25) . The most common complaint about both models is that the carafe tends to leak during pouring.
The Mr. Coffee Switch DW12 isn't covered by ConsumerReports.org or Cook's Illustrated magazine, but we did find a number of owner-written reviews on sites like Amazon.com, Walmart.com and Viewpoints.com.
