Most reviewers find that Apple's new Magic Mouse is a huge improvement over past mice from the Cupertino-based company. It features a wholly unique design with almost no moving parts -- the entire top surface acts as a giant button and trackpad combination that supports left and right clicks, scrolling up and down and two finger "swipes" that flick through photo albums and web pages.
That said, so far the mouse doesn't work on PCs -- and many PCs lack Bluetooth capability anyway. (Other wireless mice work with bundled RF USB receivers.) The Magic Mouse also feels a little unnatural to some reviewers; Gizmodo finds that it is easy to accidentally click the left or right "button" while scrolling, while CNET reviewer Justin Yu complains that it's too narrow for larger hands.

1. CNET
CNET gives the Magic Mouse three (out of five) stars, saying that it has a sexy design, is easy to pair via Bluetooth with Mac computers and works for right and left-handed users. But reviewer Yu adds that it's awkwardly narrow, its tracking ability falls behind class-leading Darkfield and BlueTrack-equipped mice and that horizontal swipes don't feel natural.

Macworld is slightly kinder to the Magic Mouse than CNET, giving it three and a half (out of five) "mice." Reviewer Roman Loyola feels that the mouse looks "stunning," offers excellent tracking and that the multi-touch functionality works very well. He says that the low profile may not be comfortable for larger hands, and doesn't like the two-button limitation and lack of comprehensive customization.

Gizmodo.com editor Jason Chen calls the Magic Mouse "the best mouse Apple's made in years," but says it's not the most ergonomic mouse around; in particular, he calls attention to how it's too easy to accidentally left or right click while scrolling. Chen also notes that it works on most surfaces fairly well but can't track on glass or glossy surfaces.

PCMag.com reviewer Joel Santo Domingo briefly reviews the mouse as part of his Apple iMac review (which now all come with the Magic Mouse as standard). He likes the two-finger swipe, the lack of moving parts and the "weight" that gives the scrolling a little extra inertia after you let go.
