Right now, most reviewers say that the Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse is the top choice for use with a laptop. Its small size and ultra-small USB transceiver -- which can either be left safely plugged into a laptop or stored within the mouse itself when traveling -- combine for the maximum in on-the-go portability. Mouse performance is excellent. The one fly in the ointment is that the VX Nano might be too small for those with more ample hands to use comfortably.

The best review we saw for the Logitech VX Nano is at HardwareCentral.com. Though the site is harder to use than most, the effort is worthwhile as reviews are rich in details and all mice are extensively tested. CNET and EverythingUSB.com are also worthwhile destinations. The discussions at CNET are not as detailed as some other reviewers', but the site covers many different models of mice and rates and ranks them, making it easy to see which ones are best. Users can weigh in as well, and often do. EverythingUSB.com's discussion is more detailed, but does not rate or rank mice -- though clear opinions are rendered.

Our Sources

1. HardwareCentral.com

HardwareCentral.com's review of the Logitech VX Nano is among the most complete we've found. The most impressive part of Eric Grevstad's write-up is the extensive testing and great attention to detail. Ratings for features, performance and value, as well as an overall score, are provided. Likes and dislikes are clearly explained. One negative with HardwareCentral.com is that the site is a little harder to navigate than some.

2. CNET

CNET doesn't compare with HardwareCentral.com when it comes to the depth of its discussion. However, important points are covered and the site reviews far more mice overall. Ratings are given, and the very best mice get an Editors' Choice award. Few rise to that level, but the Logitech VX Nano makes the grade. Users can also weigh in with their opinions.

3. EverythingUSB.com

Reviews at EverythingUSB.com don't have the depth of those at HardwareCentral.com, and the site does not cover as many computer mice as CNET, nor provide ratings or rankings. What it does provide is a clearly written, easy-to-digest report that leaves no doubt in the reader's mind about McGlaun's opinion of the VX Nano.

4. Amazon.com

Following more than 650 reviews, customers posting reviews at Amazon.com by and large love the Logitech VX Nano. Many state flat out that it is the best notebook mouse they have seen or used. Among the very few complaints, a couple of users said that they had great difficulty removing the USB transceiver from their laptop.
