With 5,700 dpi and 1,000 Hz, the G700's precision eclipses all but a few of its gaming competitors. Capable of storing up to five player profiles, the G700 features 13 customizable buttons that let users map keyboard commands, set macros or adjust tracking sensitivity in the heat of battle. Optimum thumb-button placement and a matte finish enhance the G700's ergonomic comfort, though some say the included AA battery makes the mouse feel heavy. Other features include an LED battery indicator and a dual-mode scroll wheel that allows click-to-click weapon selection and hyperfast scrolling through long web pages or documents, though reviewers say the G700 is more suitable for gaming than general use.

Matt Burns isn't as detailed in his G700 review as Anthony Garland at EverythingUSB.com, but Burns does a succinct job of outlining what he likes, including the device's precision, wireless connectivity and design. He calls the G700 as "possibly the best yet" and can't find any flaws.

Had the Logitech G700 been released in time for his 12-mouse roundup, Shawn Knight says it would have taken top honors for best gaming mouse. In this combined review of the Logitech G700 and the Logitech Gaming Keyboard G510, Knight says he likes the feel and button layout of the G700, but remains most dazzled by its "high quality 5,700 dpi rating and 1,000 MHz polling rate." The only drawback is its price.
