Razer Krait

Pros
  • Reviewers say the Razer Krait is very accurate and easy to adjust through the software. Resolution is high (1,600 dpi). The Krait has a long cord with a gold-plated USB connector. Reviewers like the smooth-sliding bottom. Some reviewers like the symmetrical shape, small size and lack of superfluous buttons. The Razer Krait is inexpensive for a gaming mouse.
Cons
  • Some reviewers don't like the symmetrical shape and small size, and want more than three buttons. Higher-end mice have more features, but also cost more than the Razer Krait.

The corded Razer Krait is less expensive than the Razer Copperhead (*Est. $55), and reviews see it as a good budget gaming mouse, though most say that there are better performers. A few reviewers do prefer the Krait, however, which has fewer buttons. The symmetrical shape makes the mouse usable -- though not necessarily comfortable -- for right- or left-handers. The small size is also a love-it-or-hate-it proposition.

ExtremeTech.com has the best review of the Razer Krait corded gaming mouse. It covers all buying considerations in detail. Techtree.com has a good review with a slightly different conclusion. Maximum PC has a short but productive review. OCIA.net and Hi-TechReviews.com have rave reviews that aren't as critical.

This review is comparative, but not as comprehensive as some others. The older Razer Copperhead earns a higher rating than the Krait. The editor concludes that the choice mainly comes down to personal preference.

This three-paragraph review documents no testing and lacks the depth of the best reviews, but it is concise and surprisingly useful. The Razer Krait is briefly compared with the higher-end Razer Copperhead.
