Reviewers say the Logitech G51 5.1-channel speaker system successfully delivers most of the performance of higher-end speakers but at a more consumer-friendly price. It doesn't have the superior sound quality of its more expensive sibling, the Logitech Z-5500 (Discontinued), but sound detail is good for games and movies. It has plenty of punch at 155 watts of total system power, but reviewers say it isn't the best choice for music. The G51 speaker system comes with a useful control pod, but it may be a challenge to set up in larger spaces because of short cables.
PCMag.com has a detailed write-up on the Logitech G51 PC speaker system. Techgage.com, MaximumPC magazine and Australia's GoodGearGuide.com.au also provide worthwhile reviews. A fair amount of owners posting at Newegg.com and Amazon.com give feedback on these speakers.

Jamie Lendino gives the Logitech G51 speaker system 4 out of 4 stars in this detailed report. The speakers are great for games and movies, Lendino says, but they aren't the best for music because high frequencies can sound a little artificial.

Rory Buszka compares the Logitech G51 computer speakers with Logitech's budget 5.1 system, the X-540. Though bass is "beefier," he says he's disappointed by the G51's music performance. He likes the control pod, though, and thinks the Logitech G51 is a good speaker system for gaming.

Jesse Sutton says the Logitech G51 speaker system is a good value. It's excellent with games and movies, though "bass lacks some definition" and can get muddy on some music tracks. The control pod is also very handy.
