The Logitech V20 speakers are small laptop speakers that don't use a separate power brick – instead, they're powered via the computer's USB port. Reviewers are particularly fond of the V20's hiss-free sound (because audio hiss is a common problem with these types of speakers) and surprisingly high volume levels. Unlike other laptop speakers, the V20 includes audio playback controls, but using the buttons requires that the software be running on your laptop. Some note that these speakers are too big for everyday portability, though they do come with their own carrying case.

Andrew Gruen goes into great depth about these laptop speakers. He says they have crisp sound and plenty of volume, but he adds that they're too big for everyday portability and not suitable for very high volumes.

The Logitech V20 portable speaker system comes recommended by EverythingUSB.com, which reviews three 2-channel USB speakers and two 5.1 surround-sound USB speaker systems. Scott Clark says they are "spectacular" as long as the volume level is reasonable.
