Logitech V20, November 22, 2009
Extremely good speakers.
If I had to do it again. I would look for wireless.
Great speakers for the money, November 11, 2009
Small, easy to use. I had an initial problem getting them to work ... not the fault of the speakers, but my lack of knowledge. I contacted the company and they responded immediately with the solution. I've used them enough that I am very satisfied with the sound and the ease of operation.
This is a phenomenal product with one small exception, November 3, 2009

These speakers are the absolute best speakers. The build quality is solid and the sound quality is HUGE. I could go on and on but don't have time. These are the speakers you want, don't waste your time looking further....there is one small thing that bugs me. These are portable speakers, but they are a tad on the large size. The case they come in is super nice and they still portable but I was thinking they were going to be small enough to fit in my laptop case, but instead (when in the carrying case) they are roughly the size of a Netbook. You will have to bring them separately unless you have a large laptop case. If you can handle a large portable speaker set...THIS IS IT. These are like the apple of laptop speakers. Very nice set. Great Netbook Speakers, October 31, 2009

I travel frequently, and carry a netbook with me everywhere I go. I hate the sound of the built-in speakers in laptops and netbooks and resorted to listening to music using earphones. However, being tied down with earphones or headphones while relaxing in a hotel room proved to be very inconvenient. I wanted good sounding speakers that were lightweight, easy to transport, with a volume loud enough to fill up a room. I didn't want to carry extra power supplies or batteries due to the extra weight (airlines are becoming very strict about the baggage weight limit and charging extra for being overweight). I purchased the Logitech V20 USB powered speakers about 4 months ago, as they seemed to meet my requirements. They were lightweight and came in a very nice carrying case, which protected the speakers when being transported in my check-in baggage. Because it is USB powered, it uses the netbook battery for power. No extra power supplies or batteries to carry for these speakers. I have a Samsung N110 netbook Samsung N110-12PBK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 6 Cell Battery (9.5 Hours), which is small, lightweight and easy to carry in my hand-carry bag, and has a very long battery life, so it runs the V20 speakers a long time at a good volume; over 6 hours on the netbook battery power. This is very handy during power outages as the speakers are not affected by it, using netbook battery power instead of external power. These speakers use one USB port on the netbook to operate. They work well and I've had no problems whatsoever. The only setup required is to plug the speakers into the netbook before opening the computer program you're going to listen to. This ensures that the sound goes to the V20 speakers instead of the netbook speakers. The sound is very good for such portable speakers. The bass is surprisingly good and the overall sound quality is good. I am really enjoying these speakers on my travels, listening to iTunes and internet radio. These speakers travel with me everywhere I go.

AWESOME SPEAKERS!!! Compatible with Vista 64bit, October 31, 2009
I opened the box, plugged them in, the drivers installed, and they worked!!!

They sound great. I wanted them for traveling. My wife and I watch movies from the laptop when we are traveling and my laptop speakers are very good at all. They come with a sturdy case and are the perfect size for traveling.

1. CNET

Andrew Gruen goes into great depth about these laptop speakers. He says they have crisp sound and plenty of volume, but he adds that they're too big for everyday portability and not suitable for very high volumes.

2. EverythingUSB.com

EverythingUSB.com lists five computer speaker systems but only reviews three of them in depth, including the Logitech V20. Scott Clark says they are "spectacular" as long as you keep the volume reasonable.

These notebook speakers are the subjects of almost 250 reviews posted here by (mostly) satisfied owners. Most say that they are a good value, but not as robust as powered speakers.
