The 2011 Audi TTS roadster (Base MSRP: $50,000), the performance-minded version of the TT, moves into the 2011 model year with no significant changes. This isn't a bad thing, as reviews show that the little Audi convertible has good style and gets athletic performance from its turbocharged, four-cylinder engine and dual-clutch transmission combination, as well as a having thoroughly upscale interior. The TTS Roadster comes only with a folding soft-top. Fuel economy is impressive for the TTS considering the power it produces and the level of performance delivered. A punchy 2-liter, turbo four-cylinder cranks out 265 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the Environmental Protection Agency estimates it will deliver 21 mpg city, 29 mpg highway and 24 mpg combined. The only transmission available is Audi's six-speed, DSG, dual-clutch, automated gearbox.

Standard safety equipment includes front and side airbags, traction control, stability control, front knee airbags and fixed roll bars behind the seats to protect occupants in the event of a rollover. As of this writing, there are no crash-test results available for the 2011 Audi TTS or similar previous-year models.
