Great pot--One little chip, November 13, 2009

I put it to the test--first meal was a pot roast and it turned out great. Second, a big batch of soup--same results. Easy clean-up on both. My only complaint is that there is a chip on one of the handles. I've never returned any item from Amazon in all the years I've been ordering and after reviewing the return process for this heavy pot (including paying for shipping that would be reimbursed later with a replacement), I decided to keep the pot since the chip on the handle won't affect the cooking surface.

The Lodge Enamel 6-Quart Dutch Oven works for me!, October 30, 2009
I love my Lodge Enamel 6 quart Dutch Oven. I like it better than a slow cooker, it takes half the time. I made a stew where I brown the meat in the dutch oven, I didn't have to dirty another pan. I love it, and the color is great too.
It takes half the time a slow cooker does! I guess that my favorite part.
Excellent Value!, August 6, 2009
A must have kitchen item. So far I am very impressed. Only cleanup issue I have had was with melted cheese. Highly recommended. BTW, the color is gorgeous!
so close to just what i wanted, July 9, 2009

This dutch oven is beautiful to the eye, appears to be of first quality throughout, and will likely perform just as I would expect. One small complaint. I purchased the Lodge name primarily to support American workers. I have loved their cast iron pieces, both for their looks and their durability. I have also enjoyed knowing that I was supporting my own country's economy. This item is made in China. I have no complaint with items made in China, but I was hoping to buy American. Amazon: please give us country of origin on your items.

Gorgeous, cooks wonderfully, May 16, 2009
I love this dutch oven. It's not only beautiful, but it cooks evenly too. I haven't had any trouble with the porcelain finish chipping like others have complained about with other brands. Lodge makes a great oven for a reasonable price. I'm impressed with this product.
