The Rachael Ray Hard Anodized II 10-pc. Cookware Set offers even heating and great nonstick performance in a highly affordable package. Owners say its performance is consistent every time they use it, with even heating and good cooking results over a variety of tasks. It's also easy to use, they say, with comfortable handles and a well-balanced heft. There are some complaints about peeling of the nonstick interior, but some of those complaints come after four years of use, which still makes this set a pretty good value.
Rachael Ray cookware offers great performance for its price. While we did not find this particular set of Rachael Ray cookware compared in any professional tests, owners say it distributes heat evenly, maintains a steady simmer and has a good nonstick surface. Many love it so much that they have bought additional pieces to add to their set. It's also available in a larger, 14-piece set. The pots and pans get good reviews across the board for browning food well, yet without sticking so that it forms an even crust that stays in place. A few even say that liquids boil faster, with a couple warning that you may want to watch the pots when bringing them to a boil, and use a lower heat as well.
Good weight and nice features. A number of owner reviewers comment positively on the weight and balance of these Rachael Ray pots and pans, saying they feel sturdy, and well-balanced without being so heavy as to be unwieldy. They love the cookware's stay-cool handles and lids with the rubberized grips. The entire set is dishwasher-safe. Although many reviewers say they would never put their cookware in the dishwasher, quite a few bought it precisely because of that feature. Those handwashers say it's super easy to clean, but with one caveat: The handles are attached with rivets, and food can collect under them which requires a bit more work.
This cookware has personality. This Rachael Ray cookware set is made of hard, anodized aluminum cookware with fun, bright orange handles that add a pop of color owners appreciate. Most also say the cookware holds up well to repeated use and washings, although we did find scattered complaints of scratching or peeling of the nonstick surface after just a few months. However, some users have come back after four years of everyday use to complain about the cookware's nonstick surfaces degrading, saying they thought they were making an "investment." Inexpensive pans are not an investment, All-Clad is. Four years is actually a pretty decent amount of time for any nonstick pan to stay usable, much less a sub-$200 set. Rachael Ray cookware comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
