Coleman 36-quart Xtreme Polylite Cooler

Medium-size hard-sided cooler

Pros
  • Excellent cooling performance
  • Rugged exterior
  • Smooth-rolling wheels
  • Compact design
Cons
  • Some think it's too small

The Coleman 36-quart Xtreme Polylite Cooler is the smallest model of the popular Coleman Xtreme line, but it offers the same rugged durability as its larger cousins, with chilling capabilities of a good four or five days (depending, of course, on how often you open it). Online posters report that this cooler does live up to the manufacturer's claim that it can keep food and drinks cold (and even frozen) for five days. Quite a few users add that this model of the Xtreme is the best cooler they've ever owned. Users also appreciate its portability and convenient, compact size, which makes it perfect for smaller cars with less available space.

User reviews and ratings form the bulk of the information we found on this Coleman hard-sided cooler. Amazon.com has about two dozen reviews; we found another dozen at REI.com and more than 100 on Cabelas.com.
