April 2009. Reviews call the Keep Your Cooler Collapsible Cooler with Detachable All-Terrain Cart innovative in its design and solidly built. This soft-side cooler, which is made of insulated polyester fabric, collapses for storage, and the foldable cart can be used separately. Reviews say that the cart rolls easily across rough terrain. In addition to a leak-proof liner, the cooler has removable wheels and a Velcro easy-access hatch at the top. This cooler/cart combo's only flaw is that it's only available through the manufacturer, so you can't see it in person or buy from a preferred retailer. The Keep Your Cooler Collapsible Cooler accommodates as many as 50 soda cans; if you're looking for a larger-capacity chest cooler, reviews say that the Coleman 50-Quart Wheeled Ultimate Xtreme Cooler (*est. $75) is an excellent choice; this model has wheels and a handle, but not a detachable cart.

The Keep Your Cooler Collapsible Cooler with Detachable All-Terrain Cart has been included in comparative testing at The Wall Street Journal and Real Simple magazine. Of these, The Wall Street Journal's tests are the more rigorous. KeepYourCooler.com does not allow customers to post candid reviews, and this cooler isn't sold through any other site.

Charles Passy and friends test five coolers by filling them with drinks and ice packs and placing them in a hot garage for several hours. They also wheel the coolers around on an unkempt lawn. The Keep Your Cooler Collapsible Cooler with Detachable All-Terrain Cart wins top marks from testers, as well as their best-value award. It's maneuverable and intelligently designed.

2. Real Simple

Ashley Phillips and Kate Parker round up the six best small, medium and large coolers. Each cooler is briefly discussed, but Real Simple's testing methodology isn't very rigorous. The Keep Your Cooler Collapsible Cooler with Detachable All Terrain Cart takes the prize for best medium-size cooler.
