Owner reviews suggest that the Eva-Dry EDV-E-500 Renewable Wireless Mini Dehumidifier is a good dehumidifier for small, enclosed spaces, including cabinets, clothing chests, small refrigerators, freezers, gun safes and violin cases. It also works well in small bathrooms and closets. The Eva-Dry EDV-E-500 uses crystals that absorb about 8 to 10 ounces of water over several weeks. Batteries and electricity are not needed, so it can be placed just about anywhere. To release water from the crystals, the unit is plugged into an electrical outlet. This dehumidifier comes with a five-year limited warranty. If you need a dehumidifier for a larger space, reviews suggest the 25-pint Soleus air CFM-25E (*Est. $200), which is about the right size for living rooms or kitchens.
