dehumidifier, November 18, 2009
This unit is doing a great job of keeping my basement dry. It started out at 80 per cent and was down to 75 percent the first day. By the end of two days the humidity was 55 percent and maintains that humidity now. I thought it would affect my electric bill in a big way but it has only gone up $5.00. It works good, quiet and worth the investment.
Now THAT's what I'm talking about!, November 10, 2009
After having three Comfort-Aire units die after around a year and a half each, I did some serious research and picked the Frigidaire. So far, this thing rocks! Super quiet. Brought our 1200 s.f. basement from 85% to 45% r.h. in about four hours. POW! Five year warranty! BAM! No more expensive than the crappy ones! BOOM! Free shipping from Amazon! WHACK!
Excellent for my unfinished basement, November 2, 2009

I purchased this unit in August and am extremely pleased with the job it is doing in my large unfinished basement. I live in a 105 year old house. We had a very rainy summer here in Connecticut and so far have also had quite a bit of rain this autumn. This dehumidifier has done an excellent job of keeping my big, old basement dry. The musty smell is long gone and the cement floors dry out quickly after a rain storm. We keep it in the middle of the basement, and despite some partitions that separate the laundry area, furnace, and storage areas, it is keeping the entire basement dry. As others have said, it was extremely easy to un-box and get it started. This is my first dehumidifier and I am very pleased.

FRIGIDAIRE 70-PINT DEHUMIDIFIER, November 2, 2009
I HAVE A MOISTURE PROBLEM IN MY BASEMENT AND THE MUSTY SMELL THAT COMES WITH THAT PROBLEM. SINCE I HAVE HAD THE DEHUMIDIFIER THE MUSTY SMELL IS GONE AND I'M EMPTYING THE BUCKET 2-3 TIMES A DAY. THIS ITEM WORKS REALLY WELL. IT'S SLEEK AND ATTRACTIVE LOOKING ( AS FAR AS DEHUMIDIFIERS GO) AND AMAZON HAD THE BEST PRICE. IF YOU PURCHASE IT, I'M SURE YOU WILL BE AS PLEASED WITH IT AS I AM.
Efficient Dehumidifier it really Eliminates Humidity!!!, October 21, 2009

I am very happy with my Frigidaire 70-Pint Dehumidifier. I use it in my unfinished basement which had water from the recent storms. After following the easy instructions, I had it up n running in no time. Turn on the power, set the humidity you want to bring it down to, set the fan speed n you're done. At first, I used the bucket to collect the water. It took a few times to get use to how to remove it from the unit. After that it wasn't a problem. I now have it continuously draining with a garden hose. After running it (1st Time) the recommended time on high fan and continuoustly. The humidity was down 20%. From 90 to 70% in less than 24 hours. I bought another humidity reader to put in another part of the basement to see if the readings were the same. The other reader was only different by 2%. As far as the noise, I don't hear a thing until I'm right near it. I don't hear anything upstairs. To sum it up, I'm very happy with this unit n recommend it.
