The Gateway One ZX4800-02 is an all-in-one computer that combines a touch-sensitive 20-inch display and a reasonably powerful computer into one sleek case. All-in-ones like the ZX4800-02 are great choices where space is at a premium, or where the rats' nest of interconnecting cables that mark traditional desktop computers are undesirable. However, when it comes to price, all-in-ones like the Gateway One ZX4800-01 are more expensive than traditional desktop computers.
In terms of price and performance, the Gateway One ZX4800-02 hits a nice balance. The hardware lineup includes the aforementioned touch-sensitive 20-inch display, an Intel dual-core Pentium processor, 4 GB of memory and a 750 GB hard drive. You can spend less and get a far less powerful all-in-one, such as the Asus Eee Top ET2002 (*Est. $550), spend more and get a similarly powerful all-in-one such as the HP TouchSmart 300 (*Est. $800 and up), or spend much more and get a more powerful all-in-one such as the HP TouchSmart 600 (*Est. $1,000 and up). Among the few specific negatives reviewers have with the Gateway One ZX4800-01 is that the touch-sensitive software could be better. The Gateway One ZX4800-03 (*Est. $720) is similar, but has a smaller hard drive (320 GB) and 1 GB (3 GB total) less memory.

Though Konrad Krawczyk is a little fonder of some older and more expensive all-in-one computers that lack touch features, he says the Gateway One ZX4800-02 "is a fairly capable family machine" that strikes a nice balance between price and features. Krawczyk isn't a fan of touch screens like the one found on this computer, however, saying using a touch screen rather than a mouse doesn't seem to make much sense.
