Print Explosion Deluxe 3.0 is one of the few home creativity software applications designed for Mac users. Reviews note that it's easy to use and integrates well with the Apple iLife suite, including iPhoto. Version 3.0 includes the ability to print scrapbook pages and CD labels, and comes with an enormous number of fonts, graphics and templates. Although some reviewers recommend it even for professional use (with brochures, for example), owners say it's better just for fun projects -- and even then, they give it mixed reviews. The main drawbacks seem to be some bugs and crashes, slow, clunky performance and poor technical support. For more powerful desktop publishing software, Mac users might consider giving Scribus (free) a try.
TopTenReviews.com ranks Print Explosion Deluxe 3.0 in relation to nine other desktop publishing programs, providing ample detail. We also found useful, detailed single-product reviews at Macworld magazine, MacObserver.com and Applelinks.com. Although these reviews note minor drawbacks, quite a few user-written reviews at Amazon.com voice more serious complaints.

Review: Print Explosion 3.0 Review, Nancy Gravley, Oct. 31, 2006
This detailed review, comparing Version 3.0 of Print Explosion Deluxe with an earlier version, includes several screen shots and finds the new interface a big improvement, with better previews. The reviewer notes minor complaints about the icon toolbar and card printing, but the main complaint is that the fun parts for kids don't allow for enough creativity.
Review: Print Explosion Deluxe 3, Gary Coyne, Aug. 27, 2006
This review notes that Print Explosion Deluxe 3.0 is easy to use but, because it includes more than 13,000 templates, takes up a lot of hard drive space. It can bog down even a capable Mac, pausing a couple of seconds at a time.
