She says the Freetime is trim, easy to use and fit, and a good option for keeping things simple in the daytime. However, the diaper can hold odors and is expensive, and she wishes for more colors and prints. In a poll of more than 100 parents, the diaper earns raves for its performance with heavy wetters, but doesn't do as well on babies with skinny legs. The diaper is ranked third among 10 all-in-one diapers.

Review Credibility: Very Good TreeHugger.com's brief roundup of eco-friendly diapers includes both disposables and cloth diapers. Copeland likes the fact that the BumGenius Freetime grows with a child from infancy through toddlerhood. She also praises the easy-to-clean inserts and likes that the design doesn't require stuffing the insert pocket.

Review Credibility: Very Good Baby-product retailer Peapods.com compares 22 types of cloth diapers and covers in a handy chart, rating each one up to five stars on ease of use, leak prevention and durability. The BumGenius Freetime earns 5 stars for ease of use, 3 for leak prevention and 3 for durability. The review notes that it is designed to dry more quickly than typical all-in-ones, but does not note any cons other than price.

Review Credibility: Very Good This blogger says she normally steers clears of all-in-one diapers, since they take a long time to dry and may wear out quickly. However, she says the BumGenius Freetime has become one of her favorite diapers, particularly for boys. She likes being able to fold and double over the attached inserts to customize absorbency where a child most needs it, and says the microfiber and fleece keep moisture off sensitive skin. She also says it's absorbent, easy to use and durable. However, using a diaper sprayer with it can be tricky because of the attached inserts, and it's not the best diaper for cleaning solid messes.

Review Credibility: Very Good The BumGenius Freetime diaper receives 4.5 out of 5 stars in more than 35 user reviews on Amazon.com. Reviewers are enthusiastic about the diaper's "idiot proof" ease of use -- they like that there is no insert stuffing and say they dry fairly fast. They say the diapers are absorbent and good for overnight use. Some say they are bulkier than other diapers and that solid messes can be hard to clean, however.
