The BumGenius Freetime might be the ultimate pick for parents who think cloth diapers are fussy. Experts and parents love how easy it is to use the Freetime, an all-in-one with attached inserts. One reviewer even calls it "idiot-proof." Absorbency is another high point, with parents saying the diaper stands up to even the heaviest wetters without leaking. However, the diapers are bulky and can be tough to rinse clean of solid messes, according to some.
Absorbent and easy to use. Absorbency is one of the BumGenius Freetime's strengths, with parents saying it doesn't spring a leak even with heavy wetters or overnight use. Reviewers also love the diaper's ease of use -- inserts are attached to the diaper and can be folded to customize absorbency in certain areas. Because the inserts are not sewn into the diaper itself, the Freetime dries more quickly than most all-in-ones. The diaper is available with either snaps or Aplix closures, both of which earn high marks. The single size may save parents money over multiple-size diapers, too. On the downside, some reviewers say the diaper can hold odors, and it can be tricky to rinse off solid messes before washing. Others find them a bit bulky.
Moisture-resistant and cute, too. The BumGenius Freetime is made of moisture-resistant polyester urethane and microterry. The attached inserts are microfiber and suede. Some reviewers say they add other inserts to further boost absorbency. While reviewers say the diapers hold up well to long-term use, one points out that if one part wears out, parents may have to toss the whole diaper because of the all-in-one design. The diaper comes in more than a dozen colors and patterns, which reviewers love.

Review Credibility: Excellent Though she was skeptical of the BumGenius Freetime, blogger Porter says it has become her favorite diaper. Her in-depth review includes detailed pictures. She says the Freetime is trim, easy to use and fit, and a good option for keeping things simple in the daytime. However, the diaper can hold odors and is expensive, and she wishes for more colors and prints. In a poll of more than 100 parents, the diaper earns raves for its performance with heavy wetters, but doesn't do as well on babies with skinny legs. The diaper is ranked third among 10 all-in-one diapers.

4. Doable Diapers
Review Credibility: Very Good This blogger says she normally steers clears of all-in-one diapers, since they take a long time to dry and may wear out quickly. However, she says the BumGenius Freetime has become one of her favorite diapers, particularly for boys. She likes being able to fold and double over the attached inserts to customize absorbency where a child most needs it, and says the microfiber and fleece keep moisture off sensitive skin. She also says it's absorbent, easy to use and durable. However, using a diaper sprayer with it can be tricky because of the attached inserts, and it's not the best diaper for cleaning solid messes.
