The best reviews we found for the Nikon Coolpix S210 were at camera enthusiast sites like Steves-Digicams.com and DigitalCameraReview.com. Both sites offer evaluations that are both highly detailed and very critical. CNet.com also weighs in on the Nikon S210 with a less detailed review that still covers most important considerations. Amazon.com is the best destination for user reviews.

Reviews say that the Nikon Coolpix S210 is one of the most stylish ultracompact cameras. At just 0.71 inches thick, the 3x zoom camera is currently one of the slimmest ultra-compact digital cameras available, but the ergonomics are surprisingly good, including buttons that are large for such a small camera. The S210 is also straightforward to use. Picture quality clearly isn't the best, but is generally described as at least decent. Performance speeds are also not the best in its class. If style isn't as important to you, the Casio PowerShot SD1100 IS (*est. $160) gets better reviews for image quality -- but it's considerably chunkier.

Our Sources

1. StevesDigicams.com

Steve's Digicams' report on the Nikon Coolpix S210 is the most detailed we have seen. Every important consideration is completely explored; the report is loaded with test photos and photos of the camera itself. The site does maintain a Best Cameras list that includes the Nikon S210, among several other cameras.

2. DigitalCameraReview.com

The reviews at DigitalCameraReviews.com are not quite as detailed as those at Steve's Digicams, but they're still loaded with lots of information and testing detail. Though the results of testing are critically discussed, the S210 is not compared to other cameras. Editors conclude that the Nikon S210 is built well and takes mainly good photos.

3. CNET

The reviews at CNet.com are not nearly as detailed as those at other sites, but they still manage to do a good job covering the most critical things shooters should look for when selecting a camera. Lori Grunin echoes the comments of others when it comes to the style and affordability of the Nikon Coolpix S210 -- but is not as forgiving of the image quality.
