- Very good image quality

- Also plays audio and video
- Wireless tricky to set up
- Poor speakers
- Video quality
- No automatic resizing
With the most features and image quality for the price, the Kodak EasyShare EX1011 is the digital picture frame recommended for most users, along with the 8-inch version, the Kodak EasyShare EX811 (*est. $140). Reviews say the EX1011's 10-inch frame has visual impact, even in a good-sized room. The digital frame has a remote control and can also be programmed to turn on and off automatically at preset times. Reviewers like the frame's wireless connectivity, which lets a user download photos free from an online Kodak Gallery account or by email. Photos can also be loaded by memory card or USB flash drive. Both the 10-inch EX1011 and the 8-inch Kodak EX811 can play video and music, though reviews say the quality is poor. Another drawback is that quite a few owners say it's hard to get the Kodak frames to work with a Mac.
CNET provides a detailed review of the Kodak EasyShare EX1011, and a review at The New York Times compares the Kodak digital photo frame with six other models. British site Pocket-lint.com also rates the EX1011 in a thorough review, as does Laptop Magazine. Additionally, more than 350 owners review the Kodak EasyShare EX1011 at Amazon.com.

CNET gives the 10-inch Kodak EasyShare EX1011 a score of 8.2 out of 10, saying it has more visual impact than the 8-inch version and is worth the extra cost. The review praises everything about the Kodak frames except the tinny speaker sound and the fact that photos aren't automatically resized to fit the frame.
Review: Kodak EasyShare EX-1011 Digital Picture Frame, David Carnoy, Dec. 7, 2007
David Pogue reviews seven digital photo frames, recommending the 10-inch Kodak EX1011 and three others. He likes the way the online Kodak gallery makes it possible to send photos to digital photo frames without a service charge -- unlike Ceiva, which charges $100 per year -- but finds the frame's nonstandard widescreen layout awkward.
Review: Slide Show Mounted in a Frame, David Pogue, Feb. 7, 2008
Pocket-lint.com, a British technology site, gives the Kodak EX1011 a rating of eight out of 10. The author found the wireless connection easy to set up, and the display, overall aesthetics and programming options also get high marks. The review laments, however, that the frame downloads only from a Kodak gallery and not from other sites.
