NOT LONG LASTING!!, October 21, 2009
After 15 months it stopped working! But Kodak can repair it for you.... for only $150. That's just WRONG!!
Great frame but could use some updates, May 16, 2009

I have had this frame for about 2 years and have really enjoyed it. The screen resolution and colors look great to me. Yes they are a little over saturated but it doesn't bother me and actually makes the pictures more attractive. The Wifi works great for me with WEP and the frame is awesome at sensing any media servers. I use kodakgallery for all my printing so pretty much all of my pictures are on their site. Luckily, this frame works VERY well with streaming pics from their website. You can see all of your albums as well as friend's albums which is really awesome. The things I wish it had was a way to default the frame to start showing an album from kodakgallery when turned on. It always defaults to the local pictures on the frame which is pretty annoying. Also, as many others have mentioned, it would be nice to have a random feature that could show you different pictures every day. All in all, I think it is a great frame and you should feel confident purchasing it.

Excellent frame... wireless not a good value, May 6, 2009

Kodak EX-1011 Easyshare 10-Inch with Wireless Capability Excellent frame... however, the wireless features on this frame were not a good value for me. Honestly... I thought I could use the auto on and off features along with the wireless features... nope... when using the wireless features and it automatically comes on in the evening, it reverts back to some innocuous sample pictures on the frame... and I have to click a few extra buttons on the so so remote control to bring back my preselected hard drive pictures or my online Kodak Gallery Pictures... granted it's only a couple of extra clicks - but they surely didn't have to design it in this way... I don't want to have to fiddle with it everyday... that was the whole point... so I loaded a usb flash drive, and every evening I automatically get to see my usb flash drive pictures... and so I could have easily done without the wireless features, as they currently exist on this frame... The remote control is only so so... happened to get my SO the newer model Kodak Easyshare 720 with touch frame controls... I love the touch frame controls and it is so much easier and so much more responsive to use than the remote control... Oh yeah... setting up the wireless features (such as they exist) were incredibly simple and user friendly... Maybe the next generation 1020 wireless is an improvement? Don't know...

AVOID -- Kodak online policies changed , March 27, 2009

I purchased the EX-1011 as a great way to share photos with my family and friends. I bought two frames for my parents and my wife's parents. After spending $600 (they were more expensive in Dec08) Kodak is now changing their online policy -- now they require a regular photo printing purchase or they will delete the photos in your gallery. Kodak, are you kidding me? I spend $600 and then you try to nickle and dime me out of more money with a blanket policy. If you're buying this for online sharing (and why else would you pay this much for a frame) then I'd look elsewhere. Who knows what the next policy change will bring.

Digital Photo Frames, February 6, 2009
This is just what I was looking for, out of all the brands out there , Kodak has just made my day with this wireless version of a digital photo frame, the price is reasonable for the features it comes with for a newbie I am very happy with the results in this product, as advertised!...highly recommend it!.

Our Sources

1. CNET

CNET gives the 10-inch Kodak EasyShare EX1011 a score of 8.2 out of 10, saying it has more visual impact than the 8-inch version and is worth the extra cost. The review praises everything about the Kodak frames except the tinny speaker sound and the fact that photos aren't automatically resized to fit the frame.

2. The New York Times

David Pogue reviews seven digital photo frames, recommending the 10-inch Kodak EX1011 and three others. He likes the way the online Kodak gallery makes it possible to send photos to digital photo frames without a service charge -- unlike Ceiva, which charges $100 per year -- but finds the frame's nonstandard widescreen layout awkward.

3. Pocket-lint.com

Pocket-lint.com, a British technology site, gives the Kodak EX1011 a rating of eight out of 10. The author found the wireless connection easy to set up, and the display, overall aesthetics and programming options also get high marks. The review laments, however, that the frame downloads only from a Kodak gallery and not from other sites.

4. Laptop Magazine

Nine months earlier, a different Laptop Magazine reviewer gave an Editors' Choice award and a four-star rating to the 8-inch Kodak EX811. This time around, the newer and larger EX1011 receives praise for its "brilliant display," but it gets a slightly lower rating -- primarily for its poor video playback.

5. Amazon.com

More than 350 owners review Kodak frames here, but not all of them write about this specific frame -- some of the reviews actually cover other models. About two-thirds are quite satisfied, but some owners express a wide variety of complaints about the frames and Kodak's technical support.
