The LG LDF7932WW is a high-end dishwasher available in white, black and stainless steel (for about $50 more). Its assortment of luxury features includes a stainless-steel tub, a self-cleaning filter, a soil sensor, hidden controls and a steam feature, which the manufacturer says helps blast through stuck-on food. The machine is Energy Star-rated and displays excellent cleaning performance in professional tests. Owners praise its stylish looks, quiet operation and steam feature. Although most users say the LG cleans well, quite a few grumble about unsatisfactory performance, with dishes retaining a gritty residue even after pre-rinsing. We also saw several complaints about breakdowns, which are consistent with the low reliability ratings we found for the LG brand as a whole. With comparable features and more color choices, the Kenmore Elite 13962 (*Est. $1,170) gets much better reviews overall.
The LG LDF7932WW is one of more than 135 built-in dishwashers tested by ConsumerReports.org, where it also receives about 50 user reviews. We found more than 150 additional owner comments for this machine at AJMadison.com, HomeDepot.com and other sources. The LG brand as a whole is rated in the annual appliance survey conducted by J.D. Power and Associates.
