The luxury Bumbleride Indie Twin has mainly been a success with professional reviewers. The company has addressed a major beef with last year's model: the lack of a latch to keep it from opening when folded. A less popular change is the replacement of the one-hand folding bar with two-hand folding straps. Otherwise, parents say the Bumbleride is a good all-terrain stroller that works well in cramped indoor conditions (it's only 29 inches wide) and on rougher outdoor trails. Thanks to the lockable swivel wheels, it's also possible to go for a jog in this stroller. The big negative is price, and some reviewers say this stroller is just too bulky (even when folded) to be practical. For less than half as much, the Graco Quattro Tour Duo (*Est. $240) is a maneuverable tandem stroller with a reversible flat-reclining rear seat.

The Bumbleride Indie Twin makes it into NAPPA's 2009 honors list published by Parenthood magazine. It's also featured on the blog Baby Buy Products and Hollie Schultz's helpful collection of video reviews at BabyGizmo.com. This stroller is beginning to get more coverage from owners themselves on user review portals like Buzzillions.com. We also found a detailed critique at Cookie magazine.

Our Sources

1. Cookie Magazine

The Bumbleride Indie Twin is included in this 10-stroller roundup. Strollers are tested for practicality, ease of folding and maneuverability, with an additional rating for value. The Bumbleride falls into the middle of the pack. Although testers like its easy steering, they say it's just too bulky -- even when folded -- to be practical unless you own a huge SUV and have lots of storage space at home.

6. JoggingStroller.com
