The Chicco Cortina Together tandem is a favorite with parents who say it's one of the few doubles to accommodate two car seats. Though this stroller is enormous and heavy and may not fit in all car trunks, reviewers generally praise its sturdiness, versatility, storage and maneuverability.
No major issues. The five-point harnesses on the Chicco Cortina Together are easy for parents to secure and hard for children to undo. One respected product-review source says the one-touch rear brake is unstable, but parents report no problems and suggested locking the front swivel wheels for better maneuverability on rough surfaces. The consensus on the canopy is that it's too small to provide good sun protection, and can easily pop off.
Huge, but handles well. The Chicco Cortina Together is enormous, long and heavy (as are many tandems), but most feel it is easy to steer and turn despite its size. It seems that handling might be more problematic for smaller women, or when the larger child is in the front seat.
Folding is a snap -- the stroller self-locks in a standing position -- but reviewers find it annoying to have to remove the canopies, cup holders and belly bar first. They also note that it is heavy to hoist and has no carrying handle or strap.
The stroller gets high marks for durability and removable fabric that's easy to wash.
Lots to love. Reviewers praise the versatility and durability of the Chicco Cortina Together. It accommodates growing children and takes two optional Chicco KeyFit/KeyFit 30 car seats (*Est. $190) -- a perk for parents of twins. Each seat accommodates up to 40 pounds, providing some good years of service. But users find the back seat to be a little squished for older children and wish that the front seat fully reclined for napping.
Rave reviews go to the large storage basket, which has a zippered trap door for access even when seats are fully reclined. Reviewers also like the parent console, which has two cup holders and a small lidded compartment for keys and cell phone. The stroller comes with a belly bar and two cup holders for the front seat, but they can't be used together. Parents complained that there were no child cup holders in the back and that the canopies were skimpy. They do like the adjustable handle that accommodates parents of different sizes.

Review: Chicco Cortina Together review, Editors of Which? magazine, Aug. 12, 2012
Review Credibility: Excellent Stroller reviews at iVillage.com feature feedback from both experts (the editors) and parent testers. Experts gave the Chicco Cortina Together 3 out of 5 stars; the mom tester gave it 4. Both editors and parent tester liked that it takes two Chicco car seats (with built-in adaptors) and that it's self-locking and self-standing when folded. They also praise the parent console and large storage basket with trap door. But they say the small wheels can make maneuvering difficult, especially in rough terrain or bad weather. And they wish it had a higher weight limit, bigger canopies and easier assembly.

Review: Strollers, Diaper Bags, Carriers and Other to Go Gear, Denise and Alan Fields, Ninth edition, 2011
Review Credibility: Very Good The Chicco Cortina Together was selected as a top (and affordable) double travel system. Babble.com's review bloggers say it's great for parents of twins or infants/toddlers close in age, but note it might get cramped for two bigger children. The large, easy-access storage basket; one-handed fold; adjustable handle; and parent/child cup holders all earned praise. Disadvantages were its length (a common problem with tandems) and the small canopies.

Review Credibility: Very Good The Chicco Cortina Together earns an average of 4.3 stars in around 50 reviews. Parents of twins especially love that it accommodates two separately sold Chicco KeyFit/KeyFit 30 infant car seats. Though the stroller is huge, most find it fairly easy to push and turn, though it can be hard to lift off curbs when the bigger child is in the front. Though reviewers like its easy standing fold, many said it's heavy to hoist and may not fit in all car trunks. The large storage basket was unanimously praised. The small canopies and lack of snack tray and back seat cup holders are drawbacks, but not deal breakers.

Generally Babies "R" Us buyers liked this stroller for its versatility, double car seat capability and durability, though many found it too heavy to push and hoist.
