Budget tandem double stroller
- Full rear-seat recline for newborns
- Fits through doorways
- Good value
- Limited recline settings
- Basket can be hard to reach when the seat is fully reclined
- Difficult to maneuver with heavier children
Reviewers say the Graco DuoGlider double stroller isn't as durable as more expensive double strollers, but it is still the best budget tandem stroller. Kids like the DuoGlider's "stadium seating," which lets the rear passenger sit a little higher. But the rear seat has only two positions, flat and up, which some children find uncomfortable. The Graco DuoGlider weighs 30 pounds, but most parents say it handles and folds pretty well. The Graco accepts two infant car seats. We found better reviews for some double strollers, but at considerably higher prices. The Graco Quattro Tour Duo (*Est. $240) has three recline settings, and the rear seat can face either forward or back. The convertible phil&teds Sport Buggy Double (*Est. $450, plus $90 doubles kit), has an optional second seat positioned behind and partly below the main seat. This three-wheeled all-terrain stroller gets good reviews.
The only site to offer a professional review of the Graco DuoGlider double stroller is Baby-Gaga.com, whose editors base performance ratings on testing and interviews with parents. Also, dozens of parents register their experiences with this model on Amazon.com, Viewpoints.com, Epinions.com and LilaGuide.com. ConsumerReports.org did not include the Graco DuoGlider double stroller in its latest update.
