Graco Quattro Tour Duo

Best tandem-style double stroller

Pros
  • Fully reclining rear seat
  • Holds two Graco infant car seats
  • Ample storage
  • Sturdy, solid feel
Cons
  • Heavy
  • Hard to steer on rough terrain
  • Complicated harness

The Graco Quattro Tour Duo has become a top-rated tandem stroller (with the two seats situated one in front of the other) in both professional and user reviews. What sets the Graco double stroller apart is its flexible infant-friendly seating. It can be used with infant car seats, and the rear seat reclines fully for newborns or napping toddlers. The rear seat sits slightly higher than the front seat for better visibility. Some parents and experts like that the Quattro Tour Duo comes with extra perks that you won't find on the less-expensive Graco DuoGlider LX (*Est. $150), such as a second cupholder for the parent and a drop-down bottom basket. At 39 pounds, the Quattro Tour Duo also weighs about 10 pounds more than the DuoGlider, which some parents find exhausting, but others say the heavier stroller feels more solid and sturdy. This isn't a luxury tandem stroller, though. At close to three times the price, the Bumbleride Indie Twin (*Est. $670) offers improved maneuverability even on rough terrain. If your older child just needs the occasional ride, the Joovy Caboose Ultralight (*Est. $250) weighs just over half as much. The Joovy resembles a single stroller with a rear running board for an older child to sit or stand upon.

Both "Baby Bargains" and ConsumerReports.org have excellent reputations for their thorough and unbiased baby gear reviews, and both cover the Graco Quattro Tour Duo. "Baby Bargains" offers more detail and discussion, but ConsumerReports.org is the top source for rigorous independent testing.
