In keeping with Maclaren's overall reputation, the Maclaren Twin Triumph gets consistently high marks for quality and durability. Less full-featured than the plusher Maclaren Twin Techno (*Est. $360), the Twin Triumph still offers the same basic functionality, including one-hand fold and fully reclining seats. Parents say the Twin Triumph is a good choice for twins who like to sit side-by-side (and not so good for when they need to be separated). This stroller is light for a double, and it fits through standard doorways. Like all other Maclaren strollers, the Twin Triumph was recalled in November 2009 after reports that 12 children had their fingers amputated in Maclaren hinges. Maclaren strollers are now sold with protective hinge covers. Still, the Combi Twin Sport (*Est. $240) is recommended more often than the Maclaren strollers.
ConsumerReports.org pits the Maclaren Twin Triumph against seven other double strollers in tests for both safety and functionality. No other source matches ConsumerReports.org for testing, but Amazon.com and Buzzillions.com offer dozens of owner-written reviews that reveal how parents feel about this stroller.
