Sennheiser MX75 Sport

Pros
  • Secure fit
  • Sweat-proof
  • Good sound quality
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Getting the right fit can be tricky
  • Bright green color
  • Some users complain of frayed cables

Specifically designed for use while jogging or working out on the treadmill, the Sennheiser MX75 Sport earbuds get good reviews overall. These earbuds have a twist-to-fit design that consists of a round piece of rubber that sticks out of the bud and presses gently but firmly against the outer ear for a snug fit. Experts and most users say they stay securely in your ears when exercising, although some users have a hard time getting a good fit. Professional reviewers are pleased that the MX75 delivers clear sound across all ranges, though detail doesn't match up to more expensive in-ear earphones from Shure and Etymotic.

CNET and PCMag.com give the Sennheiser MX75 full-review treatment; both supply ratings as well as pros and cons. OnHeadphones.com offers a brief review, but also includes detailed pros and cons and a star rating. Several hundred user reviews can be found on Amazon.com, which offer essential feedback on durability and everyday use.

3. OnHeadphones.com

The Sennheiser MX75 gets a near perfect score from OnHeadphones.com and is called "the active person's paradise." Cons include the neon green color and less-than-pristine audio quality, but its durability makes it a great choice for the gym.

4. Amazon.com

More than 650 users at Amazon.com give the Sennheiser MX75 generally positive reviews. Most of the reviews are rather long and detailed, making them more useful than the typical user review. One user calls them "a runner's best friend" and is thrilled with their secure fit. Another owner, who's had the earbuds for six months, finds them uncomfortable and complains that the cord started shredding. This reviewer also notes the lack of "cable thump," audible feedback that occurs when your body bumps against a headphone cord.
