Shiny happy smiles all around!, November 20, 2009
I love this toothbrush! My family loves their toothbrushes! We have shiny, happy smiles and easy dentist visits. This toothbrush does everything the more expensive ones do except wipe out your cash. The bristles are soft without being to soft and the head is not overly large like some reviewers thought. I can't praise this brush enough. It really is the best I have every tried!
I love it, November 17, 2009
A great electronic toothbrush, cleans much better than a 'manual' toothbrush.
I love that most of the Oral B heads fit it - so if you don't like this head, try an other!
Broken after opening the battery, November 16, 2009
We purchased this product for our 7 year old son. Being 7 and curious he opened the bottom portion of the toothbrush to check out the battery. Once opened we couldn't fit the pieces back together and ever since the toothbrush has not functioned properly. We of course closed the casing, inserted a new battery and still, nothing. We haven't had this product for more than 4 months. I think it sucks.
Makes teeth sensitive. Use a good manual toothbrush., November 15, 2009

I bought a 2 pack of Braun electric brushes for me and my wife. After using it for a month I returned it. I usually do not return any item, least a personal item. But within 3 weeks I noticed that my teeth were more sensitive to cold water, etc. I did not want to use or pay for something that actually ruined my teeth. Looks like these brushes erode the enamel. Once eroded the enamel does not build back. Though I used these brushed around 1 year back, my teeth are still sensitive ever since I used them. The 2nd brush was for my wife and she had exactly the same experience as me. So I would advise you people out there. Keep it manual. More technology is not always good.

Works great for the price, November 10, 2009
I bought the Vitality as a temporary brush until the repair on my Oral-B Sonic complete was finished. Considering this brush costs less that $20 it's excellent. I'd still rather use the
Vitality than a regular toothbrush if I had to choose. I think it keeps my teeth much cleaner than
manual brushing.

1. Which? (UK)

This UK-based product review publication thoroughly evaluates 12 electric toothbrushes on ease of use, battery life and overall cleaning ability. While the Braun Oral-B Vitality isn't judged best in any aspect, editors say it's a respectable performer that's inexpensive. Battery life is the worst of the 12 tested electric toothbrushes, however.

2. Journal of Contemporary Dental Practice

This study compares the stain removal ability of the Oral-B Vitality toothbrush against that of a dental-office cleaning treatment in combination with manual brushing for two weeks. Stain removal of both techniques is comparable.

3. Good Housekeeping

In this video review from Good Housekeeping, seven electric toothbrushes are tested by consumers and a dentist, Denis Vu. Few details of the test are provided. We do not know which toothbrushes are tested, in what way they are tested, or how many people participate in the testing. Vu praises the Oral B Vitality, which he calls the best basic option.

More than 60 owner reviews give the Braun Oral-B Vitality Dual Clean a high average score, with just a few complaints about the battery eventually not taking a charge anymore. Some say the low price made them skeptical, but that the product works surprisingly well.
