They also report that this elliptical is stable while exercising, and most reviewers say it operates quietly. The 990 Pro is also iFit Live compatible (*Est. $10/month subscription fee), which allows you to download new exercise programs, race against Facebook friends and track your workouts -- all using your home Wi-Fi network.

However, we did see a number of durability complaints, which is not unusual for a budget elliptical trainer. Problems vary from deteriorating rollers to faulty electronics modules. The NordicTrack AudioStrider 990 Pro's warranty has improved; it still comes with a lifetime frame warranty and one year of labor coverage, but the parts warranty has increased from one year to three. Nonetheless if you can afford to spend a bit more, the Sole E35 (*Est. $1,300) gets the best reviews overall and has a slightly better warranty.
