Clif Kid Zbars appeal to adults as well as kids. The seven flavors are made with whole oats and have 12 kid-specific vitamins and minerals added in amounts that are safe for youngsters. They have 20 to 26 grams of carbohydrates and 3 grams of fiber in each bar, but only 2 to 3 grams of protein. They're low in sugars, though, so experts say they should not cause a sugar high followed by a slump. With most of their calories from carbs, they can be eaten shortly before a workout or walk. Essentially, Zbars are a pint-size version of the highly rated Clif Bars (*Est. $1.25).
