Clif Nectar bars have no more than five 100 percent organic ingredients each, mainly nuts, dates, and fruit. Most ingredients are whole foods, but some of the four flavors contain fruit juice or fruit concentrate. Each bar has 4 grams of protein and 27 to 29 grams of carbohydrates, along with 4 to 7 grams of fiber. The high fiber content means they're filling despite the low calorie count. If you'd prefer a bar with more protein and only a few more calories, the Luna Bar (*Est. $1.20) may be worth a look, although it's not organic or made with whole foods.
We found reviews of the Clif Nectar bar at Health.com, where the taste and nutritional value are considered, and at MightyFoods.com, where "real food" bars are rated on taste alone. Outside magazine gathers reviews from other sites, including Drugstore.com and REI.com, and these reviews are useful for a look at how individuals have used the bars and what they think of them.

She tasted 35 bars, and finds eight that are good enough for her to consider buying again. Two are Clif Nectar bars: Lemon Vanilla Cashew and Cinnamon Pecan. The Cinnamon Pecan flavor is no longer available.
