February 2009. The Marcy PL-43211 is an inexpensive, no-frills upright exercise bike. Although it isn't covered in professional reviews, we did find a large number of owner-written testimonials at Walmart.com and other websites. Owners are realistic in their expectations and say the Marcy is a good value, reasonably comfortable and sturdy. Other exercise bikes such as the Schwinn 230 recumbent bike (*est. $450) have more features, but cost more. Some users say that this bike works well for casual exercise but that it's not challenging enough for athletes. On the downside, some say durability is a problem, and quite a few user reviews say the seat is uncomfortable.
We found the best user reviews for the Marcy PL-43211 at Walmart.com, where this model is primarily sold. We also found a large number of owner reviews at Amazon.com.
