Experts say that Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint is a high-quality paint with long endurance. SuperPaint was the company's top-of-the-line paint before the introduction of Sherwin-Williams Duration (Est. $70), and it still has many fans. Some users say they find SuperPaint easier to work with because it isn't as thick as Duration. However, while Duration is marketed as a one-coat paint, Sherwin-Williams and professional painters recommend two coats of SuperPaint in most situations, which can cost more than the extra dollars per gallon. The warranty on SuperPaint is for 25 years, while Duration's lasts for as long as you own your house. SuperPaint is available in flat, satin, gloss and high gloss finishes.
Knowledgeable contributors to the message boards DIYChatroom.com, PaintTalk.com and ContractorTalk.com have useful things to say about Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint. Longtime painting contractor Joe Pullaro also recommends SuperPaint on his website. About.com's guide to home repair, Bob Formisano, recommends Sherwin-Williams paint in general.
