Pond's Original Fresh Wet Cleansing Towelettes (formerly Pond's Clean Sweep Original Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes) offer convenience for on-the-go cleansing, but they can't replace a standard facial cleanser like Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash (*Est. $5.50 for 6 oz.) for day-to-day needs. They don't clean deeply enough but are an excellent option for minor cleansing.
Convenient for minor cleansing needs. Reviewers say that cleansing cloths like Pond's Original Fresh Wet Cleansing Towelettes are a convenient way to clean your face and remove makeup when you're on the go. They come in a resealable package that fits easily in a purse or luggage. While they're a great option for when you're short on time, experts say they're not a replacement for a standard facial cleanser. They just don't clean as deeply and they won't remove all long-wearing makeup and mascara, according to skin-care expert Paula Begoun. She says they're great for minor cleansing, however.
Floral and chamomile scent. The Original Fresh cleansing cloths are textured, but reviewers say they don't feel coarse. Users say the formula smells great -- a soft floral and chamomile scent according to editors at Allure magazine. Several users at Drugstore.com and TotalBeauty.com, however, say the cloths leave a residue on the skin -- although it can be rinsed off.
