Agnitum's Outpost Firewall Pro gets solid ratings from experts, who find it a mostly unobtrusive and effective firewall program. Outpost Firewall Pro is distinguished from its free counterpart by the addition of security features, including website blocking, a game mode and spyware protection. However, some of these, like the anti-spyware features, may not be as effective as the firewall itself, reviewers say. Outpost Firewall Pro also boasts such deluxe features as automatic updates and 64-bit Windows compatibility. Users have the option of buying a lifetime license for $215 more than the one-year fee.
