The BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium 1" Ultra-Thin Straightening Iron is a lighter, but no less powerful, version of the best-reviewed BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium 1-1/4". It heats up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit -- which can burn hair if you're not careful -- quickly. Some say it's not quite as effective as the larger version, but it is better for short hair or detailed styling.
Works on all hair types. The BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium 1" Ultra-Thin Straightening Iron is very similar to the BaByliss Pro 1-1/4" in that it has a very high heat range, and overall users find it to be high quality and effective. Thanks to the adjustable heat settings, it too is very versatile, working for all hair types from fine to curly hair. And unlike the larger version, it's lightweight and is able to straighten hair very close to the scalp. But there are more reports of this iron being ineffective, and it doesn't cover as much hair as quickly.
High heat, but no auto-off. There are very few owners who find this iron to be dangerous. None says that it burns fingers easily, and the 9-foot-long swivel cord makes it easy to straighten well away from open water sources or other hazards. Several owners say this product can be damaging to hair, and as with any appliance that heats up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and has no auto-off feature, a certain level of caution should always be used.

A couple of users also say the iron simply doesn't straighten their hair well. Editors suggest using it for detail pieces, like bangs or creating soft waves by rotating the iron.

2. Amazon.com
Review Credibility: Good The BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium flat irons receive more than 920 reviews at Amazon.com, and they get an overall rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars -- putting them among the top-performing flat irons on the site. While this product page defaults to displaying the 1" model, the same page is used for other plate sizes (like the best-reviewed 1-1/4"), meaning there's no way to see reviews for only one model (though the individual reviews do specify). Though some reviews are very positive, there are some owners who say the flat iron simply doesn't work. One reviewer says the controls are inconveniently placed, and another says that many irons sold on this Amazon.com page are fake. There is no response from the seller.

Many users note that it works quickly. Some do say it pulls or snags hair, though.
