Reviewers and owners agree the 11-cup Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus DLC-2011 performs very well at chopping, slicing, shredding, kneading and pureeing. Furthermore, reviewers say it's easy to use and clean. The biggest complaint we could find is about one of the food processor's safety features: The blades won't engage until the food pusher is at least halfway down the feed tube. This means that you have to chop up long items like celery and carrots before dropping them down the chute, which some owners find annoying. Cuisinart's warranty surpasses that of other manufacturers, but some owners express disappointment with the company's customer service. The KitchenAid KFP750 (*Est. $180) costs a little more, but has a slightly larger capacity and comes with a 4-cup mini-bowl insert for preparing small batches. However, some critics say the KitchenAid food processor is weaker when it comes to kneading bread dough.

We found write-ups for the Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus DLC-2011 at four magazines: Food & Wine, Wired, Good Housekeeping and Cuisine at Home. This food processor also receives mostly praise from more than 100 owners at Cooking.com and more than 75 owners at Amazon.com.
