KitchenAid KFP750

Pros
  • Large 12-cup capacity
  • Quiet
  • 4-cup mini-bowl attachment
  • Available in three colors
Cons
  • Mixed reviews for kneading
  • Bowl difficult to detach from base
  • Liquids leak out the top of work bowl

Several thorough professional reviews put the KitchenAid KFP750 at the head of the pack for food processors. However, reviewers point out that in head-to-head comparisons, the slightly smaller Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus DLC-2011 (*Est. $165) is just as good or better and costs a bit less. We found some mixed reviews when it comes to kneading; while some reviews say the KitchenAid has no problem at all, others report that the Cuisinart food processor is a bit better. Some consumers complain of difficulty detaching the work bowl from the base.

We found two strong professional reviews for the 12-cup KitchenAid KFP750 at ConsumerReports.org and Cook's Illustrated magazine. Each of these reviews includes extensive hands-on testing. We also found a brief write-up at Food & Wine magazine. Owner-written reviews at Cooking.com, Amazon.com, Macys.com and Epinions.com round out the picture.
