Love it!!, October 21, 2009

I searched all over the internet before deciding on this food processor and I was not disappointed. I love it! I've made all kinds of things in it and it does a great job. I really want to try some of the extra gadgets that it comes with too. All in good time... Best part was KitchenAid had a refund going on the same time I bought this, my mixer and my blender. Sweet. Definitely worth it if you're thinking about getting a new processor. You won't be disappointed and I found that Amazon was the cheapest.

Love this food processor!, August 29, 2009

We recently purchased this KitchenAid food processor and love it! We have two kids under 3 in our house and needed a powerful machine that was QUIET. This one is that and so much more. I can puree baby food while the baby sleeps in the next room with the door open. And purees are so easy with such a powerful machine. Larger cooking & baking jobs are a breeze as well. The 3 bowl sizes offer flexibility and clean up for the entire processor is easy. It took us a while to figure out what had to be locked and in what order to get the machine to work, so do read the instructions. It is a large and heavy unit so it does take quite a bit of counter space, but it looks great and we use it so frequently I don't mind having it out and handy.

Wonderful machine!, August 27, 2009

I've had this KitchenAid 770 food processor for a few years and it was my first ever food processor. I honestly don't know how I ever lived without one. It's not just beautiful (if you have stainless steel appliances, this matches perfectly!), it's a workhorse too. The Brushed Aluminum is METAL NOT PLASTIC. (I bought a Cuisinart Coffee on Demand and it's plastic stainless steel "look"...which they never tell you, BTW...though it is very pretty). Just so you know, the KitchenAid 770 IS metal and heavy. I never knew food could be chopped so fast. The first time I used it my first reaction was "HOLY *&%# is this FAST!!" Last summer I bought a friend a 2 gallon lemonade jar for her vacation home and filled it with homemade lemonade. I used my KitchenAid juicer attachment and had lemons juiced in a fraction of the time it would have taken me to do it by hand. The juicer also has 2 different size heads. A large one for oranges and grapefruit and a small one for lemons and limes. How sweet is that?? If you like fresh orange juice, you will love the juicer attachment. I have never used my whisk because I have a KitchenAid stand mixer for that, but I've used everything else and they worked PERFECTLY and FAST! The storage box for the accessories is very nice to have too. It keep everything in its place and ready for use when you are ready to use them. You just need to make sure the bowl is aligned on the base correctly or it won't turn on. The first time I didn't do it right I freaked out. I don't want anyone else to have a stroke too. :) If you're thinking about this food processor...buy it! It looks SOOOOOOO nice sitting on the counter and it makes the tedious job of chopping food (I'm no chef...I'm a slow chopper, OK? ;)) so fast and easy. Plus, cleanup is a BREEZE. I wash everything by hand, but I know other people throw their blades and bowls in the dishwasher with no problem. I just toss the parts in a sink of hot soapy water and by the time I get to them, it's a quick swish and I'm done. Just a warning...it weighs a ton so be prepared for that when it's delivered. I promise, you won't regret this purchase. It's worth every cent.

wife loves it, July 4, 2009
I bought this for my wife on our anaversery and so far she likes it. She hasn't used all of the features yet but she liked what she has used so far. It is easy to clean up and looks good in our kitchen
Don't expect it to last more than 1 year, June 26, 2009

I bought a kitchen aid, because I was looking for quality and durability. I loved it...at first...After 1 year and 2 months, my food processor would no longer turn on. My husband called Kitchen Aid...Too bad for me, since the guarantee is only for one year. Manufacturers cause so much waste because of the current greed to make a product that doesn't last. We have landfills full of trash appliances because of the wasteful practices of maufacturers, and is consumers are made to feel it is their fault for using paper grocery bags. Why aren't manufacturers any longer holding to a standard of quality? Because they want more and more of your $$$$? At least paper bags are a renewable resource and go back into the ground. In our grandparents generation an appliance lasted their lifetime, and only the cord needed to be replaced after 50 plus years of marriage...You can still find working toasters of that era at a "reuse" store. I've been married 33 years...My first food processor had a simple turn on switch and was a combination appliance: lasted about 12 years, my next one which I got used had a much more complicated switch: lasted me about 4 years...This one I bought new from Amazon and paid about $250.00 (way more expensive than any other I'd ever bought)had the most complicated off on switch . The engine is perfectly good. The convoluted cheap plastic switch (in which you can no longer put food in while it is running as in previous versions) wore with use to the point it lasted one year and 2 months and now can't turn on. Companies we used to trust have become so greedy, that they no longer make good products. I am very disappointed. What a waste. I no longer have confidence I once had in the Kitchen Aid brand.
