Glass is naturally stain-resistant, and glass storage containers are a good choice for items like beets and tomato sauce, which can stain plastic containers. The downside is that they are heavier and more expensive than plastic. Snapware Glasslock containers get good reviews for their tight-fitting lids, which attach in four places to prevent leaks. The silicone lids don't contain bisphenol A (BPA), a hardening substance that has been associated with health risks in animals. The lids do have a few downsides. Some reviewers say they can become stained with use or warped when run through the dishwasher. Reviews say the Snapware Glasslock containers are more resistant to leaks than Pyrex containers, but they do cost more. Note: A similar food storage product line called Kinetic Go Green GlassLock is sold on some retail sites, including Amazon.com, but it is not the same as Snapware Glasslock, nor is it manufactured by Snapware.

Testers say the container does not stain and its lids secure well with flaps that snap down on all sides. The main downsides of this container are the lids: In tests involving tomato sauce, they became stained, and they became warped when run through the dishwasher, making them difficult to reseal.
