perfect for travel, November 6, 2009

I used this steamer on my wool suit and several shirts during my last trip and it worked wonderfully. I also tried it, just for fun, on a shirt that had been sitting crumpled for 3 weeks and all the wrinkles were removed (although it took about 2.5 times longer than with my professional, full-size steamer) . This is a travel steamer, so it does take longer to steam wrinkles simply because the surface from which the steam is released is smaller. It is very compact and it also heats very fast (under 3 minutes).

steamer good, October 14, 2009
Weird how such a simple thing can make wrinkles disappear. I have used this on heavy cotton shirts with excellent results. Must easier than ironing, which I never do. I'm thinking now about buying the full-sized steamer for everyday use. This product is highly recommended.
Great product, October 13, 2009
The Jiffy Steamer Esteam is a great product. Does a good job of steaming my shirts!
works as good as an expensive one I have used before, October 9, 2009
I am very proud of this purchase. Easy to hold and not very heavy. Also fits in a suitcase well. My son is in the Marines and will be using it for his dress uniforms. He has to be wrinkle free but travel tightly packed. I may have to buy another one as I am going to miss it at the house.
Does the job but bulky and heavy, October 9, 2009

There is no problem operating this very simple steamer. You twist the top to open, fill with water to the marked line, then replace the top. Plug in for a few minutes and it's ready to use. The problem is, for me, that the thing, once filled with water, is heavier than expected. And, of course, you have to hold it dead upright to use, so unless you have a really good hanger to hold the pants or shirt you are trying to steam, you're going to have problems. I've since invested in a hanger from the Container Store that was only $8.00 as opposed to the $20.00 Jiffy one advertised here. It does the job, but I'm still not happy about the weight of the steamer. I haven't used it as much as I thought I would due to these issues. If you're looking for lightweight - don't look here.

Editors of Good Houskeeping conduct testing on seven handheld garment steamers. The results are ranked, beginning with the favorite, although a formal rating system isn't implemented. The reviews of each model are well-balanced, with problems noted and thorough descriptions of the steam capability, price and water capacity. Here, the only criticism of the Esteam is that you don't get any attachments.
