In a comparison test, the inexpensive Brinkmann gas grill isn't quite as good at grilling as more expensive Weber grills, nor is it as convenient to use. Durability is also a question mark. Still, the four-burner Brinkmann 810-8410-S is recommended in its price class, and owner reviews are favorable. This grill is sold at HomeDepot.com, but a similar Brinkmann grill is available at Walmart.com.

The Brinkmann 810-8410-S gas grill offers plenty of features. It rivals more expensive grills with four stainless-steel burners; porcelain-coated, cast-iron cooking grates; 502 square inches of primary cooking space; a 48,000-Btu output and electronic ignition. The warming rack is handy for heating buns, while a convenient side burner lets you prepare sauces and side dishes. The Brinkmann grill also has a bottle opener, a beverage holder and a utensil rack. Considering how extensive this feature list is for a budget-priced grill, it's somewhat surprising to see that there's no thermometer.

Brinkmann's relative quality is reflected in its limited warranty. User reviews for the Brinkmann 810-8410-S are generally very positive. However, we did read some complaints about poor construction, spotty durability, rust, gas regulation and faulty ignition.

We found only one professional evaluation of the Brinkmann 810-8410-S at ConsumerReports.org, which subjects grills to rigorous, unbiased testing. User comments at HomeDepot.com and Walmart.com address overall performance and potential problems with long-term use.
